The Short Version
We want Aros to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We build with accessibility in mind and we're always improving. If something gets in your way, tell us and we'll fix it.
1. Our Commitment
Aros Hair Institute is committed to making our website and member portal accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We see accessibility as part of treating people with respect — not an afterthought.
2. Standards We Follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines are the widely recognized standard for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.
3. What We Do
- Use semantic HTML and clear heading structure so screen readers can navigate easily
- Maintain strong color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Support keyboard navigation for interactive elements
- Provide descriptive labels for buttons, links, and form fields
- Respect reduced-motion settings for animations
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible. We are a small team and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time checkbox. When we find or are told about a barrier, we prioritize fixing it.
5. Give Us Feedback
If you run into an accessibility barrier on our site, please let us know what happened and the page you were on. We take this seriously and will work with you to provide the information or function you need.
